Chapter 1 | Reincarnation

In the darkness, even one's own existence can't be determined. Except for the throbbing sound in his ears, there was nothingness.

He died.

In his last memory, he was killed by a bullet in the heart. With a bang, mixed with J's shout, he had almost no time to feel the pain and no time to confirm J's expression before he lost consciousness.

After Deer left Midnight that day, he went to meet J with a "gift". J was his partner and his fuck buddy.

J was a man.

In the past few years, he had spent a long time in "Midnight", so he had a rare feeling of missing J. When he was in the organization, J was a trusted partner and they acted together. Even in bed, he was better than a woman. Their time was full of pleasure.

No one knew that Midnight's NO. 1 host actually prefered men, even the name Cheng Ziyao was not true.

In the organization, his name changed from Zhang to Wang, and from Li Rui to Xi Jun. At the time of his death, his name was Cheng Ziyao. This name was used for three years, six months and eight days. His identity was that of a male host.

In fact, he really liked this name. Except for occasionally having to deal with the women who were jealous, which made him have a little headache, his task was not difficult at all.

However, this time he underestimated a woman's jealousy.

In the bar, he was presenting the information obtained this time to J. During this time, there was a hot kiss but it happened to be seen by a woman who had troubled him several times. The daughter of the underworld boss really was different from ordinary people. The bullet flew towards J and he subconsciously dragged him behind himself.

Then he came here. He had been immersed in his thoughts for a long time and hadn't been able to figure out what was happening. Suddenly, a squeezing sense of pain struck him.

Ghosts don't feel pain, which meant he was still alive. Having reached the above conclusion, he naturally let himself pass out.

When he woke up again, the surroundings felt different. Messy voices and footsteps sounded from time to time.

"Your Highness, the prince is unharmed. I think he must have been in Your Highness' belly for a long time and got tired after coming out. He will wake up after a few hours of sleep."

Prince? He listened attentively, and heard a woman's voice which sounded a little hoarse, "Royal doctor, the Prince is not crying, there is no movement, he's so silent, does that mean he is..."

The trembling voice fully expressed her worries.

"Your Highness, rest assured. The prince looks very strong. Look at his little hands and feet, how cute!" This voice was much younger, like a girl in her teens. Along with the voice, his cheek was lightly touched by something, and listened to her admiring voice, "Look, Your Highness, the little face of the Prince is so white and tender, just like his mother! He will be a beautiful man in the future!"

All of the newborn babies were red and wrinkled, he didn't know how she saw that he would grow well. At this moment, he finally determined that he was the prince in their mouth. Even for him, this left him confused for a while. He died and became a baby. Was this reincarnation?

For the things that were temporarily unclear, he intended to put them aside first and observe the changes at the moment. At least he still had his previous memories; as a baby, he had too much time to think through everything.

The royal doctor carefully looked at the prince and thought it was quite strange. According to common sense, newborn babies would cry, but the prince was in a deep sleep. He even carefully checked again and found no problems. Seeing this, he had to appease Consort An behind the curtain, "Please don't worry about the Prince, Your Highness. I have already checked and there are no irregularities, the prince is strong and healthy."

Consort An felt relieved and turned to ask the maid on the side, "Zhi Lan, did you report to the Emperor?"

"This slave has already informed Chief Liu, and Chief Liu said that the Emperor is busy discussing affairs in the side chambers." Zhi Lan lowered her head and decided not to tell Consort An that she peeked inside and besides Chief Liu, there was also a beauty present inside.

"The Emperor is here!" Just as the maid spoke, the person Consort An was waiting for finally came to Ningxi Pavilion.

"Consort An has worked hard. Where is the prince, let me see!" Along with the voice came a man dressed in a black robe, embroidered with golden thread, and with a golden crown. His neither looked happy nor angry, but the corner of his mouth was raised into a smirk. He appeared a little uninhibited and chic, and hints of joy could be heard in his voice.

Asking Zhi Lan to hold the child, Consort An was very happy, "Your Majesty, please give the prince a name."

With both hands, he took the child over from the maid. As a baby at the moment, he felt very complicated to be held in the arms of a man like this. Then his cheek was pinched a few times. A warm scent surrounded himself, and he was sure that the original owner of this scent must be a beauty. It seems that the Emperor's skills at debauchery were not much worse than himself.

Qi Xutian looked at the baby in his arms. With his eyes closed, he was breathing gently and quietly. He could see the impression of refined elegance in his form. His eyebrows were slender and compared to other babies, he seemed extraordinarily quiet and peaceful. Qi Xutian paused for a moment and said, "The Second Prince shall be called Mingyue."

"The Second Prince?" Whether it was Consort An, the royal doctor or the maid, Zhi Lan, on the side, they couldn't help but widen their eyes and repeat it again.

Everyone knew that within the Cang He Dynasty, the Empress never had a child, and Consort An had most of the Emperor's favour and happened to be the first to give birth to a child. The child even turned out to be a boy, he was meant to be the Eldest Prince. Concubine Xiao, Concubine Lin and the other concubines had not even been pregnant for six months. How could this child become the second prince now!?

Ignoring the surprise of everyone present, only Qi Xutian's aide Chief Liu Yi had no change in expression and said no words.

Even Qi Mingyue opened his eyes and looked towards the person who embraced himself, he was curious about the appearance of the person who gave him his name. Mingyue, the first name in this life. He was fairly satisfied. As for the appearance, after seeing the Emperor's face clearly, he was quite sure that he was not far behind in looks.

The royal doctor confirmed that the prince was indeed the Eldest Prince in the royal hospital registry. Although His Majesty has always been unhappy and unpredictable, he spoke his thoughts as a loyal minister. With a trembling voice, he reminded the smiling Emperor, "Your Majesty, other than Consort An, the other concubines have not yet given birth..."

Qi Xutian put down the child in his arms, slightly smiled, and announced to everyone, "Consort Hua gave birth to my eldest son before Consort An, I have already named him Musheng."

So she hadn't seen it wrong just now, that beauty was embracing a baby. Zhi Lan looked down at her toes and dared not think about the feelings of Her Highness at the moment.

Consort Hua? When was there a Consort Hua in the palace?

After sweeping everyone's doubtful eyes, Qi Xutian motioned to Liu Yi beside him.

"Yes, Your Majesty." Liu Yi bowed and stepped forward. "Master Li has ordered the return of Consort Hua to the palace. Consort Hua was already nine months pregnant and her arrival into the palace coincides with the birth of the eldest prince. It was indeed before yours, Your Highness." After speaking, he retreated without a change in expression.

Qi Mingyue lay on the soft couch with his eyes slightly open, looked at everyone's faces one by one, and carefully looked at the parents in this life, then sighed in his heart. There was no talk of familial relations within the royal family. Some trouble was inevitable. But, fortunately, he was sure that this was not a dynasty in the historical records.

He closed his eyes and continued to listen to the live drama play on.

Consort Hua who was living outside the palace? How could a consort ever be left outside the palace! Although everyone thought so, they were afraid to ask. Since she was able to be taken into the palace by the Emperor, she was sealed to be a consort. Presumably, he favoured this woman. It seemed that Consort An had another rival.

These were clearly understood by Consort An and her eyes now held a little bit of a grudge. She hugged her son in her arms. "Thank you, Your Majesty, for giving the name. This concubine will take care of the prince, please rest assured."

"En, that's good. But don't be too hard on yourself, Consort An," then he turned to Liu Yi, "Pick two clever ones to help me take care of the prince." Qi Xutian said and looked at the child again. He unexpectedly found that although the eyes of the child we're closed, his mouth was curved into a smile.

Although the hint of a smile was light, it had a slightly elegant and leisurely taste. It was very different from the Eldest Prince's tearful eyes and curiosity.

Even with his eyes closed, Qi Mingyue could feel the sight falling on him, obscure and deep, difficult to discern the joy or anger. This time he opened his eyes briskly and looked at the man.

After taking a closer look at his Father Emperor, Qi Mingyue sighed in his heart. This was the first person to make him feel that the other was unpredictable since he became a spy in his past life. A pair of peach blossom eyes and slightly raised thin lips allowed him to sketch the scene of the harem. No concubine could escape the charm of his Father Emperor.

In addition to that, the Emperor's dignity and unpredictable temper must also make the court officials appalled and terrified.

Qi Xutian was surprised to see his dark eyes with a sense of scrutiny. How could such a young child have such a look?

"We will have a celebration after a hundred days. Inform the servants to prepare jade talismans and invite the Grandmaster!" After saying this sentence, Qi Xutian left the Ningxi Pavilion.

The crowd of people knelt down in panic and fear, until the Emperor left, still carrying the panic-stricken feeling, no one stood up. It was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop.

Qi Mingyue tilted his head and looked at the direction of that man's departure, wondering in his heart how could this hundred-day banquet be unusual?
